I was figuring out those tricks you list, Notman, in my 197k game. The bonus stage at the end is worth plenty of points I noticed, and during the level, the game just continues to throw more and more and faster and faster stuff at you. The longer you stay on a stage, the tougher it gets due to the m...

Woohoo! I finally had a game where things just clicked, and managed to just about double my previous high! Discovered the next two shapes after the floating monoliths - 8 pointed stars, and then radiation hexagons. Wild! I wonder how many more shapes are out there - if there are any more. The hexago...

Just to clear it up, no, I am not using Win 98, but Win2K.

I was concerned about the playbackability of my Space Duel input after finding yours wouldn't play for me. I'm feeling a little better that it does.

I did want to see yours, however. :(

I already said 100 times. so I write 101st. OPEN YOUR MOUTH AFTER DO IT BY YOURSELF. who decide right play/illegal play?? What? Until you learn how to cheat/abuse a bug, you can't object when someone else does it? That's a huge load of complete idiocy. And the only people who would object to not al...

Plays back fine for me.

No special .ini file for the game. C core is on. First version of wolf77 if that matters, though I'd think it wouldn't.

I just installed wolf77 in the directory I've been using, and the previous .ini file with the C core on continued to be used, since I didn't go and change any of the settings.

Almost sounds good... but for the 68k core setting, which do I treat as the default, now that the default value has changed? I'm planning on continuing on using the 68k core, which was the default before. Do I want to mention that every time, or are we all going to continue treating it as the default?

Maybe I should refrain from playing games that use 68000's, so that I don't run into any more of these 68k core issues. Seems whether I have it on or off, I get these topics. WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT FROM ME? :D On a side note, can we get a different game picture for this Romset, so that it clearly s...

When you view the replay, is the first opponent Dhalsim or Chun-Li? I did some investigating, and with the C core on, the first opponent is Chun-Li and everything plays back fine. With the C core off, the first opponent is Dhalsim, and the replay loses to the second opponent, Ryu (who shouldn't come...

Re: MAME 0.77 is out !!!

LET THE CLONE WARS COMMENCE!... though this time I won't try to start it off as I inadvertently did with Gauntlet Mania ^^;; You sure did start that one off. It sure was impressive though to watch some of the peoples' scores just start taking off into the stratosphere. It'll likely happen again whe...

Minor Feature Request

Zwaxy, a feature request. When viewing a user, you get to see all of their uploaded inputs (unless restricted by # of entries to show) - and you also see all of the scores that beat that player. For people who have a sizeable number of uploads, that latter part can be a LOT bigger than the former. P...

My own personal rule is that I don't upload a score unless it's worth at least 10 leaderboard points. It's sort of an arbitrary cutoff point, but it guarantees at least some worth for most games. This is especially true to me when I'm beating other scores by uploading mine - mine's at least as worth...

That seemed to do it! Frameskip wasn't even an issue with -nosound on. I'll have to remember to try that in future games I have issues with.
