All I can say is: What's the point in having such large scoring in a game...... seems pointless to have scores in the trillions other than wasting space with more score pixels!!! ;-)

Hm..... are you ever too old I wonder?

I think if anything my reflexes are better now than they were back in the day...... when I can find the time to play some games that is.

Unfortunately I seem to have less and less time these days. :(

Cheers,
Patwos.

Barry,

I don't know Japanese, but my sister in law is Japanese and also happens to speak/write very good English. :)

She also knows more Maori than I probably ever will and delved into Russian as well when she was at Varsity.

Hey Destructor, Sorry for the delay, but here's a rough translation for you: "I have come to the conclusion regarding the law of alchemy that, as long as some sort of response is made (button is OK) the moment the object(?) breaks, it is OK. What I mean is that, by knowing the timing of destruc...

I find playing completely with keys works very well with this game.

Actually, I've preferred all keys to using a joystick for up/down ever since playing hours of Guardian on my old C=64 machine. :)

I thought we had voted on and banned the Vulgus technique for scoring extra lives some 5 years back when I first brought up/mentioned this technique?!

Perhaps it never got added to the special rules?

Are these spinners also buttons as well?

ie: The style needed to play the likes of Tin Star, Strategy X, Ikari Warriors, etc, the way I used to in the 'cades.

If not, has anyone had any success getting appropriate controls for these style of games?

it seems you still would need that 15% dropoff per position otherwise for a game where tons have posted scores all close....that you don't have a 10th place person able to still 45 points from getting 90% of the top score. That's more LB points than they would currently get. If we are already separ...

I too have always hated the ABC uploaders. Here's another idea/thought that is a combination of Tommi and Rick's suggestions, or maybe very similar to their's as well. I agree with Tommi's assertion that having only percentage based scoring detracts from the likelihood of people competing over 2nd p...

Noooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!! My favourite version of Galaga thrown to the wastepiles of antiquity.... bother those MameDev people and their penchant for not supporting hacks that were in the arcades while continuing to add countless new versions of Mahjongg in each release. Woe is me. :( The other Pat.
