Re: 2011 Time Trials - Round 1 - Knights Of The Round

Remember, google is your friend...that's all I'll say about that  As to the game, yeah, definitely not my genre either...I guess this isn't an elimination round, so I'll try and get something submitted before Sunday. I'm not sandbagging, so don't have to worry about me taking 1st place at t...

Re: MAME 0.141 New Games

Interesting, I see Jungle Boy...almost bought one of those PCB's just to dump it...glad I didn't now  It's a clone of Jungle King, and possibly bootlegged from the prototype code, which was called Jungle Boy (at least that's how I understand it)

Re: Time Trial 2011 player list

Is there gonna be any classics in it, or is it all modern? If it's classics, I think I'll give it a whirl :)

Re: K8 - Round 2 - Puzzle Bobble 2 (pbobble2j)

Because the japanese romset are the real original games (at least for games from 1986~). Often the western version have cut, censored, wrong score system or infinite pattern (not existing in jap version). Ah ok, I guess that makes sense...just makes all the onscreen text a tad confusing  (...

Re: K8 - Round 2 - Puzzle Bobble 2 (pbobble2j)

I'm out of the competition, but just curious, what's with using Japanese ROMsets on everything?

I'm done with this game...If that makes me lose out on the next round, so be it...if I play one more time, I don't know if my PC will survive...

I submitted one that ended up showing a timestamp of 20:00:10...hope that's not too late  (not that it matters anyway, it'll be out of the top 32)...I sure hope you guys pick a game that doesn't suck for part 3

Re: K8 - Round 1 - Part 1 - Bubble Memories (bubblemj)

Yeah, hitting F3 (reset) will do that. I believe F3 isn't captured in the input stream, so while it worked when you were playing, when it tries to play it back, the INP doesn't do the reset, so it goes out of sync after that.

Re: Crazy Kong scoreboard error

Thanks...was wondering how you'd handle that. Good to add the note on the parent romset :) Might not be a bad idea to add it to the other sets that changed too, although I'm not quite sure how you'd do that (obviously, if you use a version older than 139 for Crazy Kong Pt 2, you'd want to use "...

Crazy Kong scoreboard error

I noticed a recent submission for Crazy Kong: http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/2/9/7/rex_ckong_15800_wolf106.zip It was done for the parent ROMset ckong, but unfortunately, they recently renamed most of the MAME ckong sets, with a new set I submitted becoming the parent rom "ckong", and the o...

Re: K8 - LIST OF PLAYERS

Ah what the heck...might as well. I'm decent at a few games, although I like the older ones better, so hopefully no street fighter/MK type games will be included  As to noteworthy scores, I have the tri-fecta on the Funny Mouse/Super Mouse/Macho Mouse series. Ironically, given my username, I ha...

Re: Crazy Kong (ckong) scores?

So which one is the original Crazy Kong romset, the green one? ...This could potentially wreak some havoc at TG. Maybe I should bring up at TG forums the issue of all Crazy Kong scores being done on wrong romset! I'm not sure, the one I submitted is almost the same as the Alca bootleg. If...

Re: Crazy Kong (ckong) scores?

Part of that is my fault  I submitted a new set not in MAME (which was identical to the Alca bootleg, with the exception of 2 ROM's. Main difference is in ROM #10, a missing ladder on the 2nd row of the barrel board) and they decided to make that the parent set, since it was from an origina...

Re: MAME 0.139 New Games

Haven't messed with any of the other ones, but note the Crazy Kong sets have been renamed (which I see has already been implemented here at MARP), but figured I'd note it anyway. I submitted a set from a Falcon board that had a slightly different barrel board (missing a ladder) and they decided to m...

Re: Artwork in WolfMAME

There's an artwork file for Video Pinball that has the backdrop and LED's. Not sure where you can find it, so I'll attach it here, since it's only an 84K zip file. It goes in the artwork directory. I've got about 27 hours logged on Pac-Man Plus from the DECA on my desktop. Probably have some on my l...
